Return
We will accept returns for a refund or exchange on products in NEW/ unopened condition with the UNOPENED original package within 30 days of delivery. All returns without an exchange are subject to a 15% restocking fee without exception. The customer would be responsible for return shipping unless the reason for the return was our mistake which we will send you the pre-paid shipping label for. Your original shipping cost will be deducted from the refundable amount if you use the promotional free shipping code. All refunds must be issued back to the original payment method. We will NOT be able to process your return if your RMA number is not included with your product. Please allow 2-3 business days for us to process the return upon receipt.
We reserve the right to deny/ refuse the return if your return does not meet the criteria stated above.
Exchange
Product may be exchanged if they are in NEW/ unopened condition with the UNOPENED original package within 30 days of delivery. Customer is responsible for shipping cost to and from our warehouse unless exchange is required by our mistake which we will cover all the shipping costs. You will not be able to re-use any promotional free shipping code if you have already used them on your original purchase.
Refund
Please allow 2-3 business days for us to process your refund once we receive your returned product. We will not issue the refund if your returned product does not meet the criteria we have stated on our return policy. Hi HID Concept Team, I need to replace my HID light bulbs and I'm debating between the D3S: Philips 4300K Standard HID OEM Bulb 42403C1 with Security Label (Pack of 2) and D3S: Osram 4300K Standard HID OEM Bulb 66340 (Pack of 2). You offer both for the very good price of $104.99 - do you have any recommendation? Thank you, Peter
Essentially, both Osram and Philips OEM HID xenon bulbs are used in 95% of all vehicles with HID xenon headlight assembly. Both made in Germany, and it really comes down to either a personal preference or what came with the vehicle for familiarity. This does not mean much, but we do have to give Philips a credit for being the first one to come up with an HID xenon headlight bulb for the vehicles.

Most Common Causes

Burned-out HID (D3S or D1S) bulb

The xenon capsule may be at the end of its life even if it still lights up dimly or flickers.

As HID bulbs age, they draw inconsistent current, triggering the dashboard warning.

Failing HID ballast (control unit)

If the bulb is new but the warning remains or one side intermittently works, the ballast may be weak or failing to ignite the bulb properly.

Moisture intrusion or heat damage can cause this.

Headlight igniter or wiring issue

Loose connectors, corroded contacts, or damaged wiring between the bulb, igniter, and ballast can cause intermittent faults that trigger the warning.

High/low beam shutter malfunction (for bi-xenon headlights)

The S5’s projector assembly uses a solenoid-controlled shutter to switch between low and high beams. If the shutter motor or signal wire fails, it can trip the warning even though the bulb is fine.

Headlight control module or coding fault

Sometimes after replacing a bulb or ballast, the system needs to be reset or re-coded using a scan tool (VCDS or OBD11). The system may still think a bulb is out.

Possible Solutions

Swap left and right HID bulbs:
If the warning moves to the other side, the bulb is the culprit. -
Check for flickering or color shift:
A pink or purple tint usually means the HID capsule is failing. -
If both low and high beams fail simultaneously on one side:
It’s more likely a ballast, igniter, or wiring issue than a bulb.

2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee has two headlight trim levels.
